Since the 2019 WCO theme was SMART Borders, Afghan Customs Department presented their vision about the automation of Customs and their achievements in path toward modernization. Director General Ahmad Reshad Popal congratulated all the Customs Officer for their effort in ACD and called them to embark on the reform initiatives.

Sri Lanka Customs celebrated the International Customs Day (ICD) 2019 on 28t)1 January 2019 gracefully under the theme of "SMART Borders for Seamless Trade, Travel and Transport" with the participation of officials of Customs, other governmental agencies and private sector.

Every year, the Ministry for Revenue commemorate the International Customs Day on the 26th of January. This day is commemorated around the world especially in the member administrations of the World Customs Organization (WCO) and this day is assigned a theme based on the focus of work for the Organisation and the realm of Customs administrations.

Directorate General of Customs and Excise of Indonesia (DGCE) celebrated the 67th International Customs Day by conducting a sharing session with the slogan “SMART borders for seamless Trade, Travel and Transport” by inviting several remarkable spokespersons from related institutions, including Directorate General of Immigration, The Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (INTRAC), Bank of Indonesia, and DGCE.

Korea Customs celebrated International Customs Day 2019 with foreign ambassadors and about 180 honored guests. The Commissioner Mr. Kim Yung-moon awarded plaque of appreciation and WCO Certificates of Merit to the people who had made exceptional contribution to customs community.
