Korea Customs celebrated International Customs Day 2019 with foreign ambassadors and about 180 honored guests. The Commissioner Mr. Kim Yung-moon awarded plaque of appreciation and WCO Certificates of Merit to the people who had made exceptional contribution to customs community.

Library of World Customs Organisation Publications was inaugurated at NACIN, WCO accredited RTC, Faridabad by Shri S. Ramesh, Chairman, CBIC on 19.12.2018 . The event was attended by Shri R.K. Barthwal, Member(Admin), Mr. Kazunari Igarashi, Head, ROCB, WCO A/P, Ms. Archana Pandey Tiwari, DG, NACIN and other senior officers.

Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) hosted a workshop on WCO Strategic Plan (2019-2022) at Jaipur from 13th to 14th November, 2018.

WCO, with more than 180 countries as members, is the only global organization, which looks into the making of global standards and procedures for customs clearances at the border and their implementation. Member customs administrations have been divided into 6 regions. India is a part of the Asia Pacific region having 33 countries.

To mark the assumption of Vice Chair of Asia/Pacific Region of World Customs Organization by India, an event was held in New Delhi on 16th July, 2018 with the theme of “Customs Facilitating Cross Border Clearances”. The ceremony was attended by delegates from 30 countries of Asia Pacific Region, Customs officers of India from different areas, Partner Government Agencies and representatives of trade and industry.

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority (FRCA) in cooperation with the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the Central Board of Customs and Excise (CBEC) India hosted a national workshop on the SAFE Framework of Standards (FoS) and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programme from 5th to 8th June, 2017.

The 76th session of the WCO Policy Commission, chaired by Mr. Ruslan Davydov, was held in Moscow, Russian Federation from the 5th – 7th December, 2016. Representatives from 30 member countries were in attendance.

The 14th annual WCO A/P Regional Heads of Training Centers (RTCs) Meeting was held from the 7th to the 9th of December, 2016 at the Hong Kong Customs Headquarters Building in China. A total of twenty-two delegates attended the Meeting alongside representatives from the WCO Secretariat, Asia/Pacific Vice-Chair Secretariat as well as the ROCB A/P.
